“Fumigadxs es un documental que aborda las sensaciones y testimonios de un grupo de vecinos que habitan un barrio fumigado por agrotóxicos. A través de una instalación que crea un espacio enrarecido y saturado de información, se indaga sobre las promesas de progreso, el marketing de la agroindustria y el habitar un territorio fumigado. Pero son sus propias voces las que cuentan las verdaderas consecuencias de los agrotóxicos. Estas son las historias detrás de la agroindustria Argentina”.

Que la cita anterior sirva como preámbulo para este documental oscuro y crónico, cargado de citas que dejarán al espectador en un estado de reflexión poco agradable. Y es que “Fumigadxs” cuenta con la peculiaridad de entrevistar a los propios vecinos que yacen en las cercanías de los campos regados con herbicidas. El veneno y las enfermedades mortales junto a las mutaciones son, apenas, alguno de los eslabones visionados en los diez minutos de metraje.

“Siempre en verano, las avionetas andan todas tirando por ahí en el campo del frente. Todo siempre plantación de soja y…tiraban eso….nosotros qué sabíamos que iba a ser veneno”, dice unas de las vecinas. Los entrevistados son oriundos de la localidad de San José, Exaltación de la Cruz. Sus voces las emiten en blanco y negro, cabizbajos, con unas modulaciones que reflejan lo injusto de lo vivido y lo experimentado.
El documental se encuentra dirigido por Eloy Brollo y contó con la producción de Ian Lietti Purchetto. La narración recuerda un poco a algunos hechos de la novela “Voces de Chernobyl” de la escritora Svletana Alexiévich, que tiempo después HBO adaptaría libremente en la miniserie Chernobyl. Sin embargo, estos hechos narrados en “Fumigadxs” no ocurren al otro lado del mundo ni cuentan con un historial bélico de fondo, sino que es el resultado de unas políticas públicas poco interesadas en la salud y en el uso de químicos cancerígenos.

Uno de los puntos claves del documental es el “Glisofato”. Se trata de un herbicida que ha sido clasificado por la Organización Mundial de la Salud como “probablemente cancerígeno para los seres humanos” (fuente: Greenpeace). No obstante, no me quedé en eso. Según la Asociación Toxicológica Argentina, “Tanto el glifosato como las formulaciones de glifosato indujeron daño cromosómico y al DNA en mamíferos, en humanos y en células animales in vitro”.
“Fumigadxs” es un documental minimalista con un aura oscura que no duda en golpear al pública y recordarle que, aunque no lo veamos, hay lugares en verdad abandonados. Los spots publicitarios del principio intentan romper con esa cuarta pared y “jugar”, si es este el verbo correcto, con un argumento tan podrido e inhumano como quienes lo orquestan desde avionetas de alas negras.
De momento, el documental se encuentra disponible en diversas páginas para su visionado gratuito. Entre ellas YouTube y la página de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Además de eso, participó en el Festival de Cine de Bariloche (FAB), Festival Internacional de Cine y Artes Documentales (FIDBA), y en la reciente 8va Entrega del cine documental argentino, entre otros.
